Light sculptures
inspired by nature

Light reveals what is already there.

Working with found wood, paper, and natural materials, Cédric Ceulemans creates sculptural light works that emerge through a dialogue with the material itself. Every sculpture is unique, shaped by the character of the wood, the space where it will shine and the quiet balance between structure and light.

His work invites moments of stillness, wonder, and connection, transforming forgotten materials into luminous spaces that people don’t simply observe, but experience.

The Journey of Light

Every sculpture begins with a conversation.

A piece of fallen wood, shaped by time and the elements, already carries its own movement, balance, and history. Rather than imposing a design onto it, Cédric follows what the material suggests, allowing each sculpture to emerge through a dialogue between wood, light, and intuition.

This process is one of restoration as much as creation. By working patiently with weathered natural materials, he seeks to reveal the beauty they already contain, giving them a new life through light. In many ways, the process mirrors our own lives: beauty often emerges not despite what we have lived through, but because of it.

Nothing is fully planned. The sculptures grow organically, guided by observation, experimentation, and trust in the material itself. Their flowing forms draw inspiration from movement, dance, and the quiet rhythms found throughout nature.

After presenting his first immersive exhibition, where light, sound, and scent came together to create a contemplative experience, Cédric brought his work to Milan Design Week. Seeing hundreds of visitors slow down, smile, reflect, and connect with the sculptures confirmed something he had long believed: a work of art can carry an energy that is genuinely felt.

Today, each sculpture is created with the intention of offering more than light alone. It becomes an invitation to pause, reconnect, and experience how beauty can transform both a material and the space, and people, around it.

There is illumination.

And there is light sculpture.

One helps us see.

The other changes how we

experience a place.
